MPESA Number Verification

What is micro-payment verification?

Micro-payment verification is a form of identity verification used to check a customer actually owns/controls a secure account by asking them to make a small refundable payment from the said account.

As part of KYC procedures we have put in place, we require all customers to verify their identity using a micro-payment. The micro-payment verification method works by asking you to make small payment (usually Ksh 1) to AssetEscrowLimited via MPESA.

From the payment receipt AssetEscrowLimited receives from MPESA servers, we can ascertain that you control a valid MPESA account, and therefore you are a real person.
